From France to Sweden and Home

I have to credit AK Magnolia House for this House Tour that popped into my reader last week.  It's from a company called Alice Lane out of Utah.  The house is enormous at cool 14, 000 sq ft.  The incredible scale and simplified architectural details of this home allow you to slowly absorb all it's grandeur.  The Swedish inspired white washed furnishings complimented by France's Louis Quinze inspired pieces fill this home with old European charm that is easy and relaxed.   You can visit the rest of the home here.

Enjoy the mix of natural wood and white washed walls and gray trim.  They work so well together, to bring a perfect mix of cool and warmth.  The wood is carried all the way up to the great height of the ceilings, adding balance that frames the space. The colours don't change throughout the home, instead, the owners chose to infuse hints of aqua blue and soft sky blues, in the kitchen, and bedrooms through lighting and accessories.
